Mr. Ken Pelak, Broadmoor Products, will speak on the topic of paint defects and their origins.  In order to improve paint yields we need to know how to reduce pain defects and where better to start than eliminating their points of origin.  Come and listen to Ken's presentation and bring your own paint defect questions. February 13, 2012	Plant Tour - Heat Transfer International Join us for a tour of Heat Transfer International (HTI). HTI is a state of the art fuels laboratory, engineering design and development center, a pilot scale Biomass Development Center and an advanced manufacturing rapid prototyping cetner.  With years of engineering and manufacturing knowledge, HTI offers a unique waste-to-energy gasification process and high temperature ceramic heat exchanger technology.  This technology, incorporated into the gasification process and air turbine power generation, creates a more user friendly, pratical system for medium sized biomass energy systems. March 13, 2012	Green Manufacturing Initiative Join us for a panel presentation on the Green Manufacturing Initiative (GMI) and the Green Manufacturing Industrial Consortium (GMIC) headed by Western Michigan University. In today's eco-friendly enviroment it is critical for manufacturers to identify ways to make their products from "green" materials oruse environmentally friendly processes.  The GMI and GMIC are programs which team university and industrial members together to identify manufacturing projects where mutual environmental interests can be addressed.  In an identified project the team works to identify material selection in product design and green manufacturing processes and review ways to reduce/eliminate waste and conserve energy. Come hear how this group can work to help your product or production processes become more "green".
