hot topics in California and the Southwest are pollution control and water
conservation. Come spend an evening with the SoCal Chemical Coaters Chapter and
learn ways to help you in these areas. We are lucky to have two great
speakers for this event, one from Ecosystems and one from DMP. The first
topic will be on water recycling. Come learn and examine the different
techniques to clean and recycle water and where it is applicable. Our second topic looks at waste
water treatment equipment. Come learn about how and why it's done and
what type of equipment is needed to comply. The final topic is on water
recycling equipment. Taking those different techniques and turning them
into a working system to integrate into your process.
Does this make sense for my
business? How can it help me? What equipment does it require?
Learn if this is a good match for your business and can you utilize the
Taoward Lee is the owner of
Ecosystems and has been in the industry for 40 years. He started his water
treatment career with Dearborn Chemical in 1976, working with cooling towers,
boilers, and flocculation. He transitioned to recycling of hexavalent chrome
plating rinsewater by deionization in 1977. This helped to control
chromium discharge into the sanitation sewers. In 1981, he began purifying and
recycling rinsewater for powdercoating and liquid paint by deionizing the water
after chromate pretreatment of aluminum wheels. In 1989, he eliminated the
sewer discharge for a phosphating process for the first time. Since then,
he has eliminated the discharge from the pretreatment process for over 100
powdercoating companies using reverse osmosis to recycle the rinsewater. Since
that time he has worked with a number of powdercoat line manufacturers to
assure proper rinsewater quality, reduce water consumption, control pollution,
and minimize waste.
