Join the CCAI Wisconsin Chapter for 2 Great Presentations!

First up will be the Basics of Reverse Osmosis (RO).  This is the rescheduled presentation that had been cancelled in February due to weather.  Following the Basics of RO, we will have Rich Huston present on PM or Not to PM - The Hidden Costs of Reactionary Maintenance.

Basics of Reverse Osmosis (RO)
Water is often the most important component in many industrial processes. Water however, is often not suitable in its primary existing state or as provided from municipalities. Whether you are brewing beer, processing vegetables, painting automotive parts or providing water for consumption, treating water through Reverse Osmosis can provide you with a product that is suitable for your needs

Our presenter, Abigail Grommet of Therma-Tron-X, will cover what the process of Reverse Osmosis is, if it is the right treatment for your processing needs, applications for Reverse Osmosis water treatment and what disadvantages there may be with Reverse Osmosis water treatment.

Presenter Bio:
Ms. Abigail Grommet, TTX Environmental Sales Engineer at Therma-Tron-X, Inc. holds a BS in Chemical Engineering (BSCE) from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana. She is a member of the Chemical Coaters Association (CCAI) and the Rural Water Association of Wisconsin (WWRA).

Now Abby puts together concepts and solutions for clients in industrial finishing, food and beverage industry, municipal settings, and health care fields.

Abby works with the goal of developing water technologies to improve the finishing industry with an emphasis on environmental factors.

The Hidden Costs of Reactionary Maintenance
PM or Not to PM.  That is the question!  When is the right time to PM?  When is it too late?  The audience will hear first-hand from a seasoned technician why it is so important to maintain and protect your equipment.  In this session, you will be provided examples of common failures when routine preventative maintenance has not been a priority.  Rich Huston of Therma-Tron-X will share some typical preventative maintenance programs, their schedule intervals and discuss the benefits of developing a program to ensure the best quality product produced and extending the life of your investment.  The answer is definitely to PM!

Presenter Bio:
Mr. Rich Huston, Field Service Technician at Therma-Tron-X, Inc. is a retired Senior Chief Machinery Technician with 26 years of service in the United States Coast Guard. He is currently a Field Service Technician for TTX providing valuable in-depth technical inspections, preventative maintenance and diagnostic services to optimize operational performance of their equipment.
