Metal Finishing -
An in-depth learning experience from oil to surface finishing

Dual Presentations / Dual Locations

Both Dr. Chalk and Mr. Burke will provide valuable insight on this subject during their presentations - you don't want to miss these folks!

Presenters David Chalk (Dubois) and Marty Burke (Perkins) are often are asked:

  • "What is this I'm seeing on my steel and substrates and how do I clean it off?
  • "What's the best way to remove lubricants, metalworking fluids, rust inhibitors, mil oil and foreign-sourced steels that are coated with an unknown rust preventative or a passivated coating?"

How often have you heard that despite the best laid efforts to clean these green materials in a finishing environment, it's often frustrating, yielding unexpected cleaning challenges. Who owns the responsibility?...the fabrication company or finishing company - both?

We will discuss these topics and how to best overcome obstacles in todays manufacturing environment. More than just a simple cleaning seminar, we will examine these new challenges and modern approaches to getting the cleanest surface possible for the coating processes.
