Doosan Portable Power is a market leading company headquartered in Statesville, NC. Backed by a century of expertise in the construction industry, Doosan Portable Power is focused on continual growth and innovation to excel our people and products through the next century. The product line includes mobile generators, compressors, lighting systems and light compaction equipment.

  • In 2007, Doosan Infracore acquired the Ingersoll Rand Utility Equipment business, Bobcat and Attachments. From that acquisition, Doosan Infracore Portable Power came into existence.
  • On May 19th, 2008 the very first machine built in the new Statesville facility rolled off the line. The machine was an Ingersoll Rand LightSource. Additionally in 2008, Doosan Infracore Portable Power launched the first light tower/generator combination unit, the L20.
  • Beginning in early 2009, the Attachments team moved from their location in Charlotte, NC to the Statesville facility.
  • Doosan Infracore International and Doosan Infracore America Corp become ONE DOOSAN under the new name Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment in January 2010. Doosan Portable Power launches the newly redesigned P185 and C185 air compressors.
  • In 2012 Doosan Globally launched 12 new product platforms with a focus on innovation and emissions compliance. Doosan Portable Power was the first to market Tier 4 large air compressors and large generators.
  • In March 2014 Doosan Portable Power introduced the company’s first natural gas mobile generators. The new NG160, NG225 and NG295 natural gas-powered generators combine the ability to operate on wellhead natural gas with rugged, reliable features that ensure performance in remote locations and harsh environments. The natural gas generators are ideal for use in oil and gas exploration, site preparation and production, water well drilling, industrial plants and as auxiliary or maintenance power in factory settings.
  • In 2014 Doosan Infracore installed a new powder coating system featuring 5-stage Zirconium pretreatment with counter-flow rinse, automatic fast color change powder system and convection cure ovens to supplement their batch liquid application equipment.

Doosan’s 470,000 square foot facility employs over 350 people working in various departments such as engineering, marketing, sales, accounting, sourcing, assembly and more. We are the proud owners of a legacy of quality and innovation that dates back to 1871. Our products have built some of the most iconic structures around the world including the Hoover Dam, Three Gorges Dam and The Chunnel. We are a market leader in the most rugged and reliable air compressors, generators and light towers.
