CCAI Student Outreach Program

The CCAI Student Outreach Program strives to educate students of all ages about finishing technologies and to encourage them to consider a career in finishing. The program is open to schools from the elementary level up through community and technical colleges and features standard components such as a CCAI-developed introduction to finishing presentation. Schools can customize the program by adding options (if available) including guest speakers, career panels, and field trips to local companies that have finishing operations. Teachers and counselors also receive a CCAI-developed tool kit that outlines available resources and helps them promote finishing careers.

To assist CCAI program presenters in giving students an overall picture of the finishing industry, CCAI is compiling several kits and is seeking donations of

  • spray guns (liquid and powder)
  • powder gun controllers
  • powder pumps
  • small containers of resin and pigment particles, additives, and powder coatings
  • small identifiable coated parts and products.

To donate to the student kits or volunteer to serve as a presenter or guest speaker, please contact Bruce Bryan ( or Sheila LaMothe ( via email or by calling CCAI at 859-356-1030.
