Our mission statement is, “The Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) is a technical and professional organization that provides information and training on surface coating technologies.”

Although our efforts in year’s past has been targeted at individuals already in the industrial finishing industry, we have recently become very focused on educating students in high school, technical school or college about the many career opportunities within the industrial finishing industry. These opportunities exist with finishing end users (companies applying a coating) and suppliers of finishing related products and services.

This section of the CCAI website is designed to supply students with a general understanding of the industrial finishing industry. Be sure to view our Careers in Finishing video below that provides an overview of our industry.

CCAI also provides students with a detailed career path strategy. These strategies are highlighted in our Careers in Finishing brochure, which includes information about specific career opportunities and availability of scholarships (application process opens after the first of the year).

In addition, students can become member a of CCAI at a nominal cost of $20 per year. CCAI Student Membership. Your membership offers you discounts on training manuals, national educational seminars and at local chapter events. SCHOLARSHIPS
Matt Heuertz Scholarship Program

The Matt Heuertz Scholarship Program, honoring the first CCAI Executive Director who served 16 years, provides funding for selected students that meet program requirements. Administered by the CCAI Finishing Education Foundation (CCAI FEF), its primary objective is to encourage education that could lead to a career in finishing and coating technology. This program can be adjusted by the CCAI FEF Board of Directors. National scholarships have been awarded since 1992.
