The West Michigan Chemical Coaters Association understands the important role an education plays in a student’s development. We believe that education is the key to success. With the increasing cost of education, obtaining schooling beyond high school requires dedicated funds and time. This scholarship program will provide some funding for students that meet the requirements described. 

STUDENT CRITERIA:

• Current high school seniors, high school graduates, college undergraduates or students who are enrolled at an accredited technical school
• Minimum of 2.5 grade point average or better on 4.0 scale
• Preferred studies in the sciences or related industries

INFORMATION REQUIRED FROM STUDENT APPLICANTS:

• West Michigan CCAI scholarship application.
• Two letters of recommendation are needed, one must be academic, to be eligible.

SELECTION PROCESS:

• The Scholarship Committee will vote on the final applicant(s) after May 15. The Scholarship recipient(s) will be notified in August with an announcement to be presented at the annual golf outing or following chapter dinner meeting with the recipients present.
• Applications will be received from January 1^st until May 15 each calendar year.
• Applications must be received via e-mail by May 15 (no exceptions).

AWARD PROCESS:

• Award amounts will be determined by the West Michigan CCAI Board depending on the number of applications received.
• All scholarship’s awards are for a specific year. Recipients may reapply each year providing they can show progress toward diploma/degree/certification.
• Scholarship payments will be made on or about August 15^th each year. Checks are to be mailed to each recipient’s home address and are made payable to the school for the student.
